Information and support centres

Beechwood provides wrap-around support packages for our clients, whether they are patients, families, carers' or those bereaved. We understand that a diagnosis can be difficult for all involved, and at Beechwood, we offer care and support to all. Beechwood is a charity based in Stockport, established in 1990 to support people from across the North West affected by cancer or other life-limiting illness. Our team of professionals are available to help with the shock of diagnosis and the emotional effects of treatment, as well as wide variety of practical support – not only for the person affected but family and friends too. Beechwood services are free of charge and we offer a range of tailored support including – one to one counselling, hypnotherapy, complimentary therapies, psychosexual counselling, support groups, diet, exercise or simply a coffee and a chat. We also offer one to one support, facilitated groups and peer groups to help the bereaved. In addition, we have a specialist Family Team who also help children come to terms with illness, or the loss of a parent or family member.
